Concept 1
The hexagon shape was used due to the topic. It was inspired by a beehive and the similarities ,e.g how an army work as a team and are unified to serve one ultimate purpose. Bees work in a similiar way and i thought it represented it well as this was a look out sight so this fort was used as a lookout and they would've had to warn the rest of the force if enemies tried to invade from this side of wellington.
I used jagged shapes and triangles because of all the fortifications this was the most unkempt. It was overgrown and very rough. Youth had been in it and smashed bottles everywhere so the idea of the shapes was also inspired and derived from that. Also considering ti was the most unkempt but still standing strong i used triangles because triangles are one of the strongest structures, and with no matenience unlike the others it was surprisingly almost fully intact.
This shape was meant to represent a pair of binoculars because this was one of the main lookouts that was used to prevent the russians from invading. So it holed an element of surveillance and authority This design also mimmicks the hills in the image.
I muted the colours of all the photos so i would have better control over my colour palette and also to emphasise an authoritative and old fashioned presence
