The contrast of the red triangles against the photograph creates a tension due to the coolness of the blue which is soothing and calming versus the dangerously bright red that is often used to act with precaution. Also in the spread t the top with the text the use of opposite representations of the colours used.
- alignment
How the brochure has a small flap and the triangle is on the inside and outside it.
The small pt size of the rectangle and the thin font works well because its legible and doesn't cause tension with the red
Example 2
- The movement and activeness of the brochure due to the diagonal line consistency throughout the brochure.
- Font being the focal point , very formal
- The use of line thickness to balance and keep and control consistency and draw attention
- I like the small colour palette because i feel its simplified rather than the background photos being in colour.
- The photos are a layer to the design not the focal point but tension is created with the red diagonal translucent line.
